Our Founder

Frances Bisby

Frances Bisby grew up in Wilson, North Carolina and came to Raleigh to attend NCSU earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. After almost 20 years in transportation design and planning, she retired following her heart into the community and founded her own consulting firm, the Transformation Exchange, LLC, in 2016.

It began with the understanding that sustainable change in outcomes for people experiencing poverty takes the combined strengths of the public, private, non-profit, and faith-based sectors.  If we are to TRANSFORM lives in a sustainable way, a neutral platform where resources can be shared and collaboration can be nurtured is mission critical. Today, this vision has grown into a robust network of community partners that champion the underserved in Wake County through a philanthropic initiative called the Community Partner Network (CPN).

The CPN is purposed to raise community awareness and recruit resources directly benefitting providers who serve people experiencing poverty and crisis.  All activities and events within the CPN are provided without, or at significantly reduced, cost to the service providers through the support of patrons, advocates, and sponsors.

It is her belief that we have only one community to which we all belong. So, the responsibility to come together, to remove barriers, and to open access to opportunities belongs to everyone that calls it home.
